Voelp Family: The Coopers' visit

The Coopers came to visit last week and we had so much fun with them. As always, the visit just seemed too short, but we packed a lot in and enjoyed the little time we did have together. Of course, I didn't pull out my camera enough, so I don't have many pictures to share. But, maybe Amy got some that I didn't?!?!

They arrived late Tuesday evening, after having to delay their trip by a day due to the blizzard that hit Greenville. Who would have ever thought the weather in Greenville would be the reason that their trip got delayed and we wouldn't have much snow at all here? Anyway, we just had pizza that night and did some catching up. Wednesday, the guys got up and went skiing at Seven Springs for the day, while the girls and the kids went shopping! Since ECU played in their bowl game that day, we recorded the game, ordered take out from Quaker Steak, and all watched it together when the guys got home. We ended up turning the game off sometime in the 3rd quarter...enough was enough in that awful game. A fan can only take so much! Thursday, I had to visit a client in the morning and then when I got home, we all went to Moes for lunch and then went ice skating. Of course, I didn't get to skate and Amy didn't want to, so we watched as the guys took Owen and Bella out. Bella had so much fun on her first ice skating adventure. Thursday night, we got a babysitter for Owen and Bella and we went out, just adults. We went to Outback for dinner and we wanted to go bowling, but when we got there, we found out it was league night, so no lanes were available. So, we hung out at the bar in the alley and headed back earlier than planned to relieve the babysitter. The kids seemed to have had a blast together while we were gone. The Coopers had to leave early on Friday morning to make it back in time to pick Frosty up from the kennel. We had so much while they were here, that is for sure! We are already counting down the days until we will get together again.

Date night for Owen and Bella...Randy set up the TV and put on the Polar Express and made popcorn for them. It was too cute! They seemed to really enjoy themselves ;)
