The first day we were in town, I took the kids to the park...BAD idea! You see, in Cranberry, there are very few days that you can't go to the park due to heat. Apparently, that doesn't hold true in Hillsborough, even in early June at 10am! So, that lasted about 10 minutes and was a bust to say the least. We decided to go enjoy some sweet tea in the AC and yummy food at Andy's Cheesesteaks instead ;) That evening, we ventured out to Aunt Stephanie's boyfriend's (RK) house for dinner and for Owen to take a ride in the buggy! This was by far the highlight of the trip for Owen!
We traveled to Raleigh and met up with a bunch of friends at the mall for dinner and visiting. The O'Briens, Aunt Steph Fox and her boys, and Luke, my stunt partner my senior year and his wife, Meghan and new baby, Bella (born on my birthday) were all there! It was so wonderful to see everyone. We were having such a great time that we closed the mall down and were pretty much getting kicked out ;)
Aunt Mindy came to visit and meet Anderson. We were so excited to see her and her precious baby belly, too! After visiting for a little while, we headed to Andy's again for another yummy lunch before she had to head back home. We can't wait to meet baby Asher, due to arrive in mid-September!
Uncle Andy, Aunt CC, and Aubrey stopped through Hillsborough on their way to CC's sister's graduation for dinner and Meme joined us as well. Everyone was so excited to meet Anderson and we had such a great time with all of the Clark grandkids together!
We also had a really fun visit with Aunt Amy and Bella! It was so much fun seeing them and getting to see her baby belly with the Cooper TWIN boys! She looked amazing to say the least! You would never know she was carrying twins! Owen and Bella picked up right where they left off as usual and had so much fun together. We all went to Andy's (yes, 3 times in one week...what can I say, I don't get it at home!!)
We went to Greensboro one day for lunch so that Mammaw and Papa could meet Anderson, too! Uncle Andy, Aunt CC, and Aubrey met up with us again so that we could see each other one more time before we made our way back to PA. It was so much fun hanging out and letting Anderson meet her great-grandparents! The highlight of the day was taking a picture of 4 generations of ladies...Mammaw, G-Ma, me, and Anderson!
Anderson got her first taste of her crazy Aunt Lynne when she came to visit! We all went out to dinner (with Meme too) at the local Mexican restaurant and actually got to eat outside because it was a cool(er) evening. We had such a fun visit with them, but, as always, just not enough time!
We had one last visit with Meme when she cooked her famous meal of fried chicken, biscuits, green beans, mashed potatoes, and sweet tea just for me! That is by far my favorite meal in the world! Meme got some more cuddle time with Anderson and put her right to sleep at the dinner table! It was a special night for sure!
